Czech Dreams Weekend

České sny - Czech Dreams is a triennial project for the promotion of Czech music and Czech artists in Europe. It is used for international linking-up of audience, organizers and artists.

The first edition of the project took place in 2004 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of Antonín Dvořák and the 150th birthday of Leoš Janáček, but also of the EU accession of the Czech Republic. Magdalena Kožená and Václav Havel took over the patronage.

Biel Solothurn Symphony Orchestra (TOBS) presents along with the world premiere of the chamber version of Dvořák's "Rusalka" different facets of Czech Dreams 2014, including wine tasting, children's films or Ondřej Havelka's irresistible "Melody Makers" -Jazz Orchestra.

Aleš Brezina, since 2004 the Dramaturg  of Czech Dreams and one of the greatest connoisseurs of Czech music (scene), will raise a discussion with famous guests about the development of Czech music since the premiere of "Rusalka" in 1901.
